The rules of nature are the most powerful force we can observe. We’re all controlled by the rules of nature, but we do have some control over how the rules affect us. Humans have the ability to change how nature is interpreted and acted on. Although we feel as though we control our behavior with the power of a will, we’re really puppets being pulled by the hand of nature.
If humans are to emerge as a sustainable species we’ll need a better understanding of nature. Until we have a better grasp of nature, humanity needs to use what is known about nature to survive long enough for higher human traits to emerge.
While science is the study and codification of the rules of nature, most humans are not scientific decision makers. Most humans make decisions based on emotions. Our emotions understand dreams much better than they understand science. And myth is more dreamlike than dry facts and logic.
When contemplating a major change in my life I need to consider how I will combine my knowledge of nature to effect the change. How will human nature and my own unique nature help and hinder accomplishing the task? How will I arrange my life so that I can overcome foreseen obstacles? Just as important how will I reach my objective with enough resources to accomplish my purpose after this year’s objectives has been reached?
Wishing you the best in dogs and the best in life,
